Will this adapt into a 9.5mm form?

I purchased this SSD for a Lenovo ThinkPad that was having HD problems.  My tech moved everything from the old HD to the new - and it's worked wonderfully since installed.

I also felt the price was really good - seems I made a bit more than what this is priced at.    But -- it's a great piece of equipment.

Is there any speed processing difference between the SSD's? I assume that if one SSD features 240G versus another SSD that features 1TB it is a additional storage capacity difference. But are the speeds different and how do I determine which will meet or exceed our need? I will be doing alot of HD Video and audio recording and editing.

I bought the 240GB SSD to speed up an older laptop.  It worked great. The laptop boots up very fast, about 20 secs. The SSD does not increase your processor speed. It does reduce the seek time of the HDD.  This appears like the CPU is faster.  It is my understanding that the SSD drive is not recommended for storing pictures and videos. The repetitive writing to the SSD will make it fail early.  Kingston does not recommend defragging the SSD for this reason.  It is best suited for programs.  This is my first SSD drive so I cannot comment on the longevity yet. Make sure there is good fan/heat sink cooling of the SSD.  I picked the 240G SSD because it was the lowest price per Gb and the lower memory density in the drive should keep it from getting too hot.

What is the estimated size of the drive as 240GB is not accurate?

The drive has 256 gig (256000000000) of memory. Windows would report that as 240 gig.  However ssds use a portion of the available memory for over provisioning so the disk will show under windows as smaller than 240 gig.

I believe that it reports as 228 gig. A 256 gig (as calculated by hard disk manufacturers) less the memory allowed for over provisioning.

The disk size reported, however is the 240 gig disk as advertised.

will this drive and transfer software it comes with work with my Mac mini?

you have to check with the manufacturer website if the ssd supports mac. just goto to thier website and goto support and see in downloads if they have a software for mac for your ssd.
