I'm not personally familiar with your system,  but after looking it up online, while 1 HP site lists it as having a 1GB maximum memory capacity, several others say it can handle 2GB.  That said, you'd be better off looking for 200 pin DDR2 SO-DIMMs rated PC2-6400 (200 MHz) rather than 166 MHz (PC2-5300) chips like these -- the increase in capacity would be offset by the loss in speed, resulting in negligible performance change.

I ordered this to upgrade my laptop, and the 2GB is just one stick.  I ordered two of them for a total of 4GB (2 sticks).  Haven't had any issues with it - works great in my laptop.
