looking to upgrade my pc I have Kingston memory Model # KVR667D2N5K2/2G now (2 1 Gig sticks) on a MSI motherboard Model G33M-FI . Will this memory work? I can go up tp 8 Gigs on my motherboard. Should I replace the old also?

I used the same ram as you and used this to upgrade my ASUS board. I did go with the 8 gbs which was the max for my board, too. If you can, I would add as much as you can afford to get because more RAM always helps. I also switched to Windows 8 at the time because it is what the new version of the Digital Audio Recording software that I use at my production studio wanted. The other thing I have heard it is you need pairs, so if you have four slots, I would say you technically could use both. However having said that, it would depend on what your motherboard recommends to use and what your Operating System will see. Without knowing either it is not a guarantee at all. Go to your manufacturer's site, check what the board can use, then check with Operating system site and go from there. I hope I helped you with your decision.
