Does anyone Know if this will work in a HP Z200 Tower?

I'm not familiar with the computer model you have but it fits
perfect onto 5.25inch bay and its uses Serial ATA  interface.
It won't work if you have very old drive with IDE interface.

Question 2

Does this unit support SATA 3?

I believe so...
I have many in use and have never been disappointed by the transfer rate.  The only problems have been with the installed
fans.  I usually replace them soon after installation.
The last batch seem to be holding up better !

Question 3

I installed the drive, but the hd doesn't work. I formatted it on another computer and the drive worked. is my problem cabling or does the hd have to be configured in some way?

Hey, I have three of these sata racks, with seagate's, western digital hard drives in them and work perfectly, have you check to see if the sata & power connections are seated correctly in the rack, when you slide the drive housing in? Also do you see the power LEDs  light up? Try turning the key several times if you don't see the LEDs light. If you have power LEDs, try a different sata cable from the connector on the rack to your sata connector on the board. If you have power to the rack, but the BIOS can't see the HD, than its a connection problem.

The fan is 40mm x 40mm.  Irdered a replacement fan for one of my racks that became quite noisy. the plug on the new fan was different than the original, but did not try to replace. Ordered 2 new racks. One was a bit noisy out of the box but used anyway.
