SPUN-COPPER IMG WOOFER
Injection Molded Graphite (IMG) woofer cones are exceptionally light while being extremely rigid – providing remarkable low frequency response, with minimal cone breakup and distortion to give you the deepest, cleanest bass possible.

All-Digital Amplifier
The built-in, all-digital amplifier of the R-100SW subwoofer delivers ample power with high efficiency and true-to-source accuracy reproduction - thus providing maximum output, detail, and power that fills your home.

CUSTOMIZED BASS
The R-100SW subwoofer gain, low pass crossover and phase controls ensure the low-frequency tones blend with other speakers and establish the ideal level of bass for your room.
Line level/LFE RCA inputs provide maximum compatibility with standard home theater receivers.

HIGH QUALITY CABINET DESIGN
Reinforced MDF construction reduces cabinet vibration for less audible coloration and improved sonic accuracy - giving you the ultimate listening experience that's built to last.

Sleek Design
Exposed fasteners, low profile magnetic grilles and a scratch-resistant, textured wood grain vinyl give the R-100SW subwoofer a polished, modern appearance that perfectly accents our entire Reference series speakers.
Pros: The R-100SW & R-51PM play well together. Originally, I had purchased the R-120SW from another online retailer, but it was defective (Hum-Hum-Hum), so it was returned. In the meantime, I also had my eye on the R-100SW. Needless to say, I purchased the R-100SW. Perfect size for a bed. The sound is tremendous. Just increasing the gain knob slightly, and you hear the difference (Boom!). I am sure if I turn it up too much, my neighbors will too. Primarily this subwoofer is meant to be used when playing music. It compensates for bass lose on some LP material.Like most of us have agreed, the subwoofer looks better with the grill off than it does with it on. Who wants to hide the 10" front-firing spun-copper IMG woofer? I am semi-satisfied with this purchase.
Cons: There is one thing that I just do not understand. The Standby mode. Every electronic component I have in the house will turn red when in standby mode. If you read the manual for the subwoofer, it is vague. It references the green light for when the unit is on. Dark for when the unit is off. But neglects mention the color when it enters Standby mode. I left my subwoofer on for forty-five minutes without any signal. The LED was still green. The question is, does this unit really go into standby mode at all????Apparently, Klipsch subwoofers give off a low grade hum that increases when the Gain and or Low Pass is increased. Any setting above the half way point on the dial. Last night as I was about to fall asleep, I heard the same hum in Standby mode. Which answers my question about the standby mode.
Overall Review: I am happy with the size, the adjustment options, and of course the appearance.
