Do you need a separate receiver?

Yes.  The speakers should each connect to the speaker outputs of an AVR receiver, except the subwoofer which connects to line out on the receiver and has its own power amplifier built in.   Choose the right receiver to power all four Atmos speakers otherwise you can only use two of them or no Atmos at all.   A 5.1 AVR powers no Atmos speakers, 7.1(or 2) powers 2 Amos speakers, and a 9.2 powers four Amos speakers. Good luck! If you don't need the Atmos speakers or want to not spend the extra money on a 9.2 system you could just go down a level on the Klipsh speakers and get the 5.1 model without the Atmos speakers. It will still be awesome. Good luck! It may be a lot to learn but worth it.

how many channels does my receiver have to be to power this system?

This is system comes with 1 subwoofer, 1 center channel speaker and 4 bookshelf speakers. Each bookshelf speaker has 2 channel connections/terminal pairs; 1 for the front-facing speaker and 1 for the height speaker. At the bare minimum your receiver will need to support 5.1 channels to use all 4 main speaker channels without the height channels. If you want to take advantage of the height channels then your receiver needs to support connecting 4 more channels (9.1)

What is a package dimension and shipping weight? Whether woofer and speakers are in same package?

It is heavy. I didn't weigh it but you will need two people to move the box which stands at 4-5 ft high. The speakers and the woofer and packaged really well in one box.

There is no single answer to your question.  Many different types of speaker stands can be used.  Just make sure whatever you buy can support the 8.2 pound weight of each satellite speaker.

No.  All of the speakers are wired, including the 10" sub.

What is the power rating and THD of the amp on the sub and the wattage rating of the speakers?

The product spec sheet is available at Klipsch dot com.  You'll find it under Home Theater Systems.

The 10" sub is 150W continuous / 300W peak.  The center and the satellites are 75W/300W.  The up-firing Atmos speakers in the satellites are 40W/160W.

The THD values are not listed in the spec sheet.
