Yes, amazing clarity and highly recommended. I have denon receiver, 70in sharp led, surround sound klipsch. Makes for a great center speaker. (Especially for the sale price of $80).  Hope that helps!

Can I plug this right into my speaker out jack on my tv or do I need to amplify it ??

This is a passive speaker (unpowered), so unless your TV has a built-in amplifier and speaker terminals (which some rare, older model big screens do!), then you'll need to amplify the signal going into the Klipsch Synergy C-10 Center-Channel Speaker. You may want to consider purchasing a soundbar or soundplate speaker if you're looking for a compact, small footprint, plug-n-play speaker system for your TV. Most soundbars will connect to the red & white RCA audio jacks on your TV for analog stereo/Pro Logic/SRS-surround sound. For digital stereo or Dolby Digital/DTS surround sound, most soundbars provide a fiber optic input port or coaxial (orange or black color-coded RCA jack, sometimes labeled "SP/DIF") input jack. I have a cubby hole in my entertainment center for my center channel speaker. the MAX height I can fit in there is 6". this says it's 6" tall. does that measure at the top of the bump?  is it 6" exactly?

I had a similar situation needing a good sounding speaker that had to reside in a small space, but it had to sound great. This speaker is 6 inches at the 'bump'. So hopefully it will fit.  I do not use the grill, but I believe the grill was no bigger than the speaker itself.

I originally purchased another small-sized speaker for this purpose.  It had tremendous frequency spikes at about 250 Hz, and to a lesser degree, at 500 Hz--very bad spike frequencies for a center channel speaker.  The Kilpsch C-10 seemed to be the best option that would fit well into my space.

Overall, this is a very good speaker for a single room (my dimensions are 14 ft X 16 ft).  Even at fairly loud levels (100-115 db) it works very well without any major frequency spikes.  The only critism I have is I wish the speaker could reproduce sounds below 100 Hz.     In general, however, this is not a problem for a center channel if you have a subwoofer, since dialog should not go into these very low frequencies but some sounds might.

In summary, I'm pretty critical about sound and this speaker is the best I could find for my situation.  I am happy with my selection.  Yes, I would buy it again.

Question 4

Do these have a break in period, I just replaced my energy take 5.1 classic speakers with the c-10 and s-10 speakers, and was expecting much better sound quality and the sound is about the same. Will the sound improve over time?

Depends on tthe of audio receiver ..you are using ...have no issue with dialogues while watching movies...and listening to music...run a sound test and adjust accordingly
