I am not able to get PowerDirector 8 to recognize my kworld DVD Maker 2.  My computer is running Windows 8.1.  I downloaded and installed a driver from kworld for DVD Maker 2 (v5.13.1218.1218) for win7/8.x.  At one point I was able to capture audio only, now after shutting down and restarting the computer, the USB DVD Maker 2 is not even lighting up (blue).  Any suggestions?  Thanks.  Dan

I had similar issues.  I finally got it to recognize after uninstalling and reinstalling but the video quality was not very good.  I sent mine back.

Is this compatible to run PAL S?

The specs says it has Automatic NTSC/PAL detection and under video resolutions list PAL at 720x576  @ 25fps. It has a svideo connection on the cable. I have not personally tried it with Pal, but looks like it should work ok. I really like mine.

Is this product compatible with MAC OS 10.6?

It works with xp and the include software.  I have other open source dvr software installed on the same computer.  It only works with the included software.  Usb version of capture devices tend to be a set pair that is they work well with the include software, they are not designed to be used with other software.    Someone whom has tested it on a mac os X may have a better idea of if it will work or not.

Can this work on vhs tapes to digital to computer then to dvd?

Yes this should be able to read from VHS onto your computer, then you can make a DVD from your computer.
