I have a hdtv that came with out a tuner will this turn that monter into a working tv?

The answer is positive. The VGA and HDMI adapters are enclosed, so you can watch air TV channels on your monitor. You only need to connect it to the HDMI (or VGA) monitor correctly. However I was also out of luck with my device. After successfully using it for several months I have disconnected it from my monitor. A couple of weeks later I have connected it back, but the KWorld box did not work properly any more. I have no idea what has happened but now it does not work in a proper way.

Does the TV need to be connected to PC with a cable ?

No, all you need is to connect an antenna to the antenna jack on the back. Depending on your local T.V. transmitters in your area, you may need to get an external antenna and connect it to that antenna jack. You then hook the LCD display using one of the adapters that ship with the device.

Does this this work with Verizon Fios?

Works with any internet provider and wifi-it;s basically a tablet or cell phone without a screen-uses your LCD TV to display.

Is there an audio output separate from the HDMI?

I can verify that digital audio is indeed passed through the HDMI cable to the video device, like with such as a TV that has speakers, and you can hear the audio that way.

My application is with an HDMI Panasonic projector for Home Theater, and my projector does not do anything with audio anyway.

So the answer is a qualified "yes" analog audio out is available by (only) connecting to typical RCA (red + white) from the KWorld to an audio amplified system, such as with a receiver.

The KWorld is a basic digital HD TV tuner, and the video quality is excellent.  There is no SPDIF or TOSLINK digital audio out capability.

So basically coming out of the Kworld there are only 2 audio options:

1)  Analog RCA

2)  Digital over HDMI, provided your video device also handles audio, which most projectors don't.
