Unless there's been a running change, you can make a pretty decent machine out of this.  Mine is a couple of years old, but has been a delight.  There's a socket that will accept an 8gb laptop memory stick, and nearly hidden, is a socket for an M2 2280 SSD.  The N6000 loves the extra memory, and the 1tb SSD I installed makes it a practical machine for most uses.  I'm more than satisfied with mine after the upgrades; in practical terms, it's as fast and stable as my desktop with an I5 and 32 gb of memory.  Quality seems to be good; nothing feels cheap or flimsy, and the keyboard has a nice feel, just like the upper-end models.

I also ditched Windows and installed Linux, but that's a story for a different audience.
