Has anyone gotten this to work through an adaptor from a standard HDMI port?

Wahooo... there are now a few cables out there to get this to work.   The one to find from Monoprice is hard to find, but it's there, usually out of stock.  The one from VisionTek (described below) was out of stock but i found it on Dell Website.

Here is my short story.  I have a PowerDesktop with Graphics Card, i assume my USB C from my Desktop Motherboard, does not plug and play with this monitor, because the video has to come out of my graphics card, as the Motherboard Desktop does not have graphics on the CPU.  So the USB C on my motherboard wont work, it doesn't have graphics to spit out.  So i needed a cable to go either HDMI -> USB C DP Alt mode    to get this to work with this monitor, or DisplayPort to USB C Alt mode to work.

I finally found a cable to go DisplayMode to USB C DP ALT  to get this to work.   
Cable is called (search:  VisionTek USB-C to DisplayPort  bi-directional).  I think Monoprice has one too, but its hard to find, i found it by googleing it and then clicking on the monoprice link.. but it was backordered so i purchased from Dell Website.

Hope this helps others because i was pulling my hair out wanting to use the ThinkVision M14 , for all my different use case scenerios!
