John, your server user manual will have installation instructions for the TMM device, assuming your particular server model is compatible. The device will give you the ability not only to power on and off your server, but also to control it remotely workout a KVM device. It's been several years since I installed mine, so the details are hazy. It was easy to install, I remember that much. Just make sure your server model is compatible... if your server's hardware/user guide doesn't provide installation instructions for this device, that is s red flag.
