No - the keypad is also very sensitive, works just fine though.

1) Where are the speakers with this and

2) Does it have the newer rectangular DCn connector to the power adapter?

The power connector that goes into the Notebook?  Yes it is rectangular.  This is my first Lenovo so I don't know old and new connectors. But yes, it almost looks like a USB connector. Rectangular like that. Hope I helped!

Where are the speakers located on this?

There is an angled edge, on front side of the base, facing where you would be sitting if you were using the machine. The speakers are on that lower edge (Right underneath the touchpad). The speakers aren't too loud, or good, but they get the job done for things like videos and such.

Hi,
Wanted to verify that "laptop comes installed with Windows 7".
Also, is there a disk included which would allow you to go back to Windows 8 since it has been downgraded to windows 7?

It does come with Win7 installed. And I think it can be upgraded to Win8 though I never tried.

Question 5

I am looking for the terms of the 2 years of protection.  What does it cover? Is this a 2 year warranty beyond the manufacturers? Or does it also cover drops and spills?

Some of ASUS comes with ADP warranty that cover drop, spill damage repair once within one year. Other company who give 1 or 2 years warranty is for limited factory warranty so none force damage that cover hdd, mainboard, and memory are covered i guess, call or send email to them to get warranty detail
