does it have wireless wi-fi?

Yes it does. I cannot comment on the performance as I have it in a location where I can use Ethernet.

I will say that as a 30 year IT Professional who usually builds his own machines, this one has impressed me. I just don't have the time to mess with it right now and my wife needed a new desktop.

Once I removed the typical bloatware, it runs fast, quiet and does the job well.

Question 3

If I buy this I want to put a Samsung 840 Evo 250GB ssd in it.  Is it correct that I can add it from the from of the machine?  Also, how will the machine handle both drives i.e. if I wanted the OS on the SSD and data on the installed HHD.

I just bought this machine and did exactly the same the thing. I bought the 250GB Samsung SSD to go along with it.

Yes you can stick the SSD in the front socket that you see in the picture and it works really good. Your speed will increase dramatically about 5 or 6 times faster than before when using the drive.

However the machine unfortunately does not come the latest connections (SATA3) so you will only be getting about half the potential speed increase out of the SSD (about 250mb/s)

A 5 times increase in speed is still a huge difference, so I am happy with the purchase.

my usual purpose will be gaming, internet, and watching movies. specially, for gaming, i love online games. i want any games with good graphic and no lag for online games. do you think this desktop's is good enough to buy and enjoyable?

"Good enough to buy and enjoyable"? Yes, it's good enough. It's graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce GT 620 1GB (which is "good enough" @1080P HD resolution & performance), along with a great CPU (3rd-gen Intel Core i7-3770), plenty of DDR3 RAM (8GB @ 1600MHz), and your broadband internet choice of either a wireless a/g/n or Gigabit Ethernet, to handle your "lag issue." So, in terms of your question, it should be good enough, or at least adequate or satisfactory.

However, if you'd rather have great or excellent online gaming, you might either want to look for a different PC, or buy this PC & simply upgrade the graphics car & PSU power supply, yourself, since Lenovo made the side panel (along with the GFX card & PSU) very quick and easy to do (with that particular task in-mind).

Hey man, yeah i upgraded mine the only wierd part is a l9 connector piece that i can not replace, it controlled the turbo power thing. so i basically don't use that. I also changed out the gfx and still on the original windows 8 it came with running smooth as a babies bottom

Thank you NewEgg.  I am a first time customer...and was skeptical by purchasing online.... But now....
I am very happy with my new Lenovo K410 computer.... Very fast, Video graphics & sound are great.  Also I was able to upgrade to Windows 8.1 easily.  And there was not a lot of "bloatware"  The software that came with the computer is actually useful and I didn't have to delete any programs because they were good.  I would recommend this computer to my friends for home office use...but not really a high caliber gaming computer...If you like to watch movies, surf web..Youtube...etc then this computer is for you.  The only issue I had was the shipping the box was a little damaged but I spoke with NewEgg rep and they said if they computer itself was damaged then they would replace for free...within 15 days etc....And, so far no issues and computer works perfectly...  :-)  I won't need to upgrade to another computer for at least another 3 to 7 years.  I can have 10 programs running simultaneously and it doesn't slow down at all.  This is light years faster than my old computer....And this computer is super quiet and can't even hear it running...also a cool feature is the power saver (sleep mode) to save electricity when you are away for 30 mins...It starts right up very quickly... and for gaming you have "Turbo" mode...I just leave it on "Auto" though.  The USB ports on the top of the machine are convenient to access... and work perfectly... Hooray. Finally a computer I can depend on.  Also, Windows 8.1 is really easy to use, and I like it very much.

i want to get a new computer for gaming purposes,(wow) World of Warcraft is what i want to run. Is the graphics card and ram upgradable?

This is a great question about this computer... the answer is: sort of.

I bought this Comp. about 3 months ago and couldn't be happier, an I7, pre-installed graphics card, usm port, and 2tb hard drive for under 800: awesome.

Here's the catch about upgrading. You can replace the graphics card with a newer one, but know that the specially set up power system for this computer (it has a switch to allow for "more" power) makes upgrading the power supply almost impossible. Which you will have to do for any modern, powerful, graphics card. Also, the Ram is not up-gradable. The 8 it comes standard with should be fine anyway though.

But, all that said, for as cheap as the components are in this computer, you could buy this comp, 16 gb of ram, and a new mother board and do a re-build for under 1000 and get a powerhouse computer.

And, all of that said, you should be able to run WOW on this thing, out of the box, on med. to high settings. I don't know if it'll run skyrim at "max", but it doesn't struggle with any of the graphical issues I send at it.

Is there a way to get windows 7 instead of windows 8?

I contacted Lenovo with this question. I thought they may have an install disc with W7. I was told no, and that for $100 the tech dept. could work me through the process. Told them no thanks. I still have not really moved from an old computer, but I have used this some. There is a nice piece of software included that offers a W7 type interface with the start button & desk top that we are used to. So far, it has been fine.

I have also read that we do have some performance improvements by keeping W8. At this point, I am not sticking to the tiles, but using the W7 type environment,

What monitor should be used or is recommended to be used with this computer?

It has both a NVIDIA GeForce GT 620 1GB graphics card, with a VGA & HDMI port, as well as a DVI port & Displayport integrated onto the motherboard (with an excellent CPU with built-in graphics media display capability, plus more than enough DDR3 RAM, 8GB total, and it's on-board graphics allow up to 2GB of shared use). So, any Monitor (LCD, CRT, LED-LCD, etc.), of any shape (like a widescreen or fullscreen), of any type (monitor or HDTV), of any size (such as a 15-inch to 80-inch),  should work with it, so long as it's not a 4k-resolution or higher. So, it pretty much depends on where you'd have it set up and the type of setup you have, such as under a desk that you sit a ratio of 1-foot from.

Personally, my PC is under & within an armoire, and its pull-out desktop & (underneath) keyboard, have me sitting about 3 feet from my monitor, which is an ASUS 22.5-inch LCD, with a 6-foot HDMI cable connection, running an 1080P (Full HD) resolution @60Hz refresh rate.....but I should've gone for a 27.5-in. 1080P @60Hz for my particular situation, pertaining to my ratio, oh well...

Also, if having a monitor with either 3-D or touchscreen capability is more to your liking, the PC's hardware is more than capable of accommodating those needs, & this PC comes with Winodws 8 (w/free upgrade to Windows 8.1), but Lenovo also offers the drivers for Winodws 7 for online download (both 32-bit & 64-bit) in case you'd rather install Windows 7 on it, and both OS's were designed with those features in-mind, so you could do that too.

So, the choice is up to you, really.

Can it be downgraded to Windows 7?

Anything can be "downgraded" to windows 7. To do so, you need a valid copy of windows 7, and the knowledge to re-format your computer. If you're asking if New Egg will put it on for you somehow; I imagine the answer is no.

Windows 8 was frustrating at first, but some simple mods make it just as user friendly as windows 7; start with a Google search "windows 8 tricks tips"

After booting to desktop, turning off the "lock" screen so I don't have to keep typing in a password, and setting the app screen to the same background as the desktop background (which makes it seem like a menu floating over the desktop that's accessible with a button click, instead of some forced homepage), I'm actually really happy with the built in upgrades of windows 8
