Yes, there is a volume control - a small thumb wheel on the base of one of the speakers. The volume is adequately loud for basic audio while sitting at the computer, but don't expect it to fill the apartment with music. Also, the tonal quality is adequate for basic audio, but not up to listening to music or gaming quality.
