hmmmm, well not legally.  Though you could probably use it to repair another Win7 install.  I think you would follow the letter of the law by only having one pc on at a time, but I am not a lawyer (IANAL).  Remember you will have to go through Windows Authentication to get the system up and install all the very necessary updates.  Only one authentication per Key........

Question 2

When was this computer produced?  does it have a sata drive input, any extra room for another drive

Mine had a bios from 2011 on it. I was able to drop in my Core2Quad Q6600 bought in 2008 without any issues or updates needed.  I also added an additional 4GB of DDR2 Ram without issue.

There are two sata 2 ports and two sata power connectors.  One is for the current HDD and the other for the DVD drive.   I removed the DVD drive and added an SSD easily.  There is now an opening where the tray of the DVD drive would come out of the front of the tray, but for me that isn't a big deal.

As a side note, this computer comes with a 32bit Windows 7 installation preinstalled and ready to go.  I reinstalled with 64 bit Windows 7, and only had an issue with the system controller driver, which I found easily on Lenovo's support site.

The computer came with windows 7 home premium installed and I also got an installation disk.

What is the maximum RAM this machine takes?  What type of RAM?

It should be able to handle up to 8GB of 667MHz PC2-5300 DDR2 memory, though it only has two memory slots.

1) Is this machine 32 bit or 64 bit?
2) does this unit have any expansion slots, if so how many and what type (e.g. Pcie 4 lane)?
3) What is the maximum RAM this unit can be upgraded to, and how many and what kind of RAM slots?
4) Is the windows OS provided 32 or 64 bit.
5) What kind of display chips are used, are they onboard the motherboard, or in an expansion slot.
6) What kind of display ports are on the machine, and are they HDCP compatible?
7) What is the HD/CD I/O, and what expansion capabilities exist?
