Is the ThinkPad T410 Intel Core i5 Intel Core i5-2.4GHz 4GB Memory 320GB HDD 14.0" Notebook Windows 7 Professional   64bit?

The one I received was i5 2.4 GHz, 4GB RAM, 160GB HDD and Win 7 Pro 64bit however mine did not have a camera and i noticed some of the others did so I think that there are some variations as these are second hand. Refurbished just means new OS install as you'll see from comments condition varies mine was very clean but case had a corner crack and battery was basically dead but at the price I paid I was very satisfied.

Does this come with a SD Card reader?

Sorry, I don't know.  The refurbish one I got did not work at all. There was also a crack in the case - clearly dropped.  Newegg refunded the purchase.

Question 3

Does it come with Software  (OS) that can be reloaded in case I want to wipe the hard drive?

Came with Win 7 Pro SP1 64 bit dvd disc for REFURB PCs and OS installed on its 320 GB hdd.  Also had OpenOffice3.2 installed as well as AdobeReaderX, CDburnerXP, and 7zip.

320GB hdd came with only a C: partition.  Was easy to add D: partition for data, etc.  It was necessary to do the Windows initiation to give the machine its name-locale-etc.  Then to sanctify it as authentic MS OS before or after 30 days.

If you decide to replace the DVD/CD with a HDD Caddy make sure to obtain a caddy with PLASTIC alignment tip already installed on it.  That was NOT possible with plastic tip from DVD/CD on machine purchased WITHOUT opening and snipping aluminum from the HDD Caddy.  That caddy without the plastic tip UNABLE to align well enough to engage caddy SATA male connectors to female connectors inside T410 notebook.  Oh you can unscrew top plate on hdd caddy without plastic tip and bend that aluminum top plate so as to make caddy insert tight enough into T410 caddy slot to finally PUSH the caddy IN all the way.  Then ejecting the caddy again becomes a pull and tug affair.  With a caddy with the plastic tip already installed the sequence is insert, click goes the T410 lock.

Ejecting is merely moving the two T410 levers you used to eject the DVD/CD caddy originally, and click out comes the caddy a quarter to half inch slick as jelly on toast.

Give some thought to cloning the HDD that comes with T410 rather than wiping it.  The 320 GB HDD that comes with the T410 has only roughly 30 GB of OS on it in only the one C: partition, no hidden partitions at the end of the hdd.  Machine obtained from NewEgg was clean, and works well with  a 1 TB hdd in the  HDD CADDY with plastic tip already installed!

What model is the processor? i5 2.4 ghz doesn't really tell me much.

It's I5 2nd generation processor with 2.4ghz speed .currently I7 is the latest one available in market and which is much more costly than the I5 or I3..AT THIS PRICE I5 WITH 4 GB RAM IS A GREATE BUY..I JAVE BOUGHT THIS SOME TIME BEFORE AND COMPLTLY SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY AND SPEED OF THE PROCESSOR AND PRODUCT.....HOPE  MY RESPONSE TO UR QUESTION WOULD HELP U TO MAKE UR DECISION....

No HDMI.  Several USBs, Ethernet, one that I think is DSL, and a few I can't identify.  But no HDMI.

Ia this a 32 or 64 bit Windows 7?

Does this machine come with operating system discs?

No, it doesn't. Windows 7 Pro 64 is pre-installed. There is a system-restore partition on the hard drive, but no separate Windows discs.

Is this a good computer? are there any problems I should know about?

I LOVE mine and have no complaints at all. It looks and performs like it's brand new. It's the best money I've spent in years, and Lenovo (Formerly IBM) ThinkPads in general are the best you can buy.

But with any "refurbished" product, you're taking chances. It's obvious from the reviews that some buyers got laptops that were filthy and badly used. It depends on what "refurbishing", if any, was actually done on the one you get. But the laptop itself is a fantastic design, brilliantly engineered, and very rugged and solid in construction.

Question 9

Aloha, I have 3 questions.   Do you supply the windows operating system disk?  I would possibly like to add an SSD in the future.  Is there an extra slot for additional RAM?

there are two slots for memory, but not for the faint of heart, some disassembly is required (one slot on the bottom, one on the top under the keyboard). see online for details. Usually comes with 2Gb SODIMM in each slot, so to upgrade to 8Gb, you have to replace both with 4Gb DDR3 12800 1.35V SODIMM memory.
