Can I replace the 500 GB HDD with a 256G SSD Drive?

Yes, we do it all the time. Virtually any SATA drive can replace the Factory Drive. Obviously you'll have to re-install Windows on the new SSD unless you know how to Clone the factory drive to the new one -- which is what we do in-store.

What kind of serial ATA interface?  PCIe, VMe latest geneation

HDD has a standard SATA 6GB/s connector.  It takes standard 2.5" laptop size HDD and SSD.  There is also an M.2 slot in the computer that takes PCIe NVMe M.2 SSDs, as well as standard SATA M.2 SSDs.

Can it be down graded to win7 pro?

This unit can be downgraded to Windows 7 Professional however you will not get security updates.  You're better off with Linux Mint or Windows 10.

Can I get it in 8 G Ram?
