Question 1

Is the screen plenty bright or a bit dim like some laptops? I need a laptop for school and I sit outdoors and in bright areas sometimes. For example if you are indoors is it a bit too bright at max brightness or the kind of display you would leave at max brightness unless you are trying to save battery?

I find the display's on Lenovo's to be the best out there... very crisp, clear, and easy to look at.  I'm an independent IT guy (24 years) and recommend and resell Lenovo laptops exclusively... they're just the best machine out there in my opinion, and the quality display is one of the things I always mention.
Obviously - when the machine is on line power the display is at full brightness... outstanding quality.  When you are on battery power it will default to a dimmer screen to conserve battery power - still perfectly good, but that mode may not be suitable for outdoor use...  You could bring the brightness up, but it would be at the expense of battery life.
Having said that - the battery in this machine is also great - hours of continuous use with no issues...
It's a very good laptop PC!!  :-)

What kind of interface of hard drive? Can one switch to a SSD? Thank you.

Is the screen glossy or matte?

The Screen is actually matte. Trust me you can't go wrong with this system. It's super fast plus you'll also receive Windows 10 professional for free. I'm very happy with my system

it says one port 3.0 is always on does that mean that the other two are turn off and which port is set to 3.0 and arent all 3.0 ports suppose to be blue in color?

I've got a e560 and all the USB ports are black in color but are definitely all USB 3.0.

It's a great machine although I've never run windows, very Linux friendly.

Is the OS it comes with (Windows 7 Pro) the 32 bit or the 64 bit version?

It comes with the 64 byte version.    On a 32 byte machine the maximum amount of memory usable is around 4GB.  Actually, depending on the OS it might be less due to parts of the address space being reserved.  On Windows you can only use 3.5GB for example.
