Hi! is this a brand new tv? refurbished? shipped in it's original box?

I bought this same model for my mom in September 2014. It was new and in the original box. She has been really happy with it. I directly plugged the tv into my router and she streams movies through Netflix. Prices on Led TV's have dropped a lot.

is this a brand new item, never opened and sealed?  also, where is it coming from.

These televisions originally come from the Lone Star State of Texas. Then are transported to California where Newegg's headquarters are afterwards shipped to destinations in United States of America. The two sets of televisions I ordered were brand new never opened sealed, but my first one was damaged during transportation I was not aware until I fully talking the TV out of the box. Newegg understood my frustration and send over a brand new one. It does take a time frame of a week and a half for you to return yours and receive a new one from Newegg. I'm those people who are germ freaks and want everything sealed from factory I wasn't disappointed it from Newegg

Going from memory here, but if you are in another function (e.g., Netflix) and bring up Live TV on the menu, it will show a small preview window. It's far from true picture-in-picture, though.

Does it play blu ray movies from a usb drive or external hard drive??

I didn't know blu Ray movies were available except on the purchased disks.

I use an external blu Ray player

We like the TV. It was a good choice for us.
