Do you mean new in box, as in not refurbished or open box? if so, yes it is new. What I received was brand new still factory sealed.

I has Skype app, but doesn't have the webcam. I tried inputting the logitech webcam but didn't work, so I guess you'll need to find a compatible webcam for this tv to use this feature.

If this item is new, why does it only have 30 day warranty on parts and labor stated under specifications on web page?

Mine just came in. It is new and you get a 1 year warranty card from the manufacturer.  On the card it says that "...this warranty is in lieu of any other warranty..." and that is one year from the date of purchase....

Do I have to have a wi fi dongle with this tv?

WiFi is NOT built in. You will need to purchase the dongle separately.

I need to find out the VESA Dimensions so I know what kind of wall mount I would need. Find out?

The manual lists VESA (AxB) as 400 x 400. 
Their optional mount model LSW430B. 
M6 screws. 
The sound bar comes with its own mounting bracket and template.

Can anyone confirm if this has WI FI built in? I have seen some reviews which said you have to get wi fi dongle.

As of now, wifi dongle is not included with the purchase. Wifi dongle was included in July. Just chatted with support and my TV came without wifi dongle. Wifi is NOT built in!

Does it come with the remote?  If not, will it work with a universal one?

It comes with a standard remote - not the LG magic remote.

Can you provide a picture of the remote or describe what it looks like and how it functions, ergonomics, lights up, etc?
