What kind of cable do I need to connect the sound bar to my TV?  My TV is a Samsung.

sound bar comes with optical connections, dont know what style Samsung you have but most TV's these days have the optical connection, it the one with the little (should be white) door/flap over it with a slight red glow to it when TV is powered on, google optical connection (pics) and you can see what im talking about

How do I increase or decrease the volume on the sub woffer?

to adjust the volume of the subwoofer, use the remote that came with it. Look for a smaller button that says "WOOFER LEVEL" underneath the play/pause button in the middle. Best to keep it at around 0-2. For movies, 6 is great, but with a lot of dialogue, you may want to keep it lower. Hope that helps! It is a great product for the money.

How do I connect the subwoofer to the soundbar?

they connect automatically, it tells you in the directions how to go about doing it for the first time, its VERY simple, I have had mine for quite sometime now so i forgot how it works for initial set up, something like power on the bar then the sub will search using blu-tooth, once you do it it only takes like 30 sec maybe less, scan through your installation paperwork should be in there, after that everything else is a breeze, connected my phone to it so i could listen to pandora via blu tooth, has about a 30' range before it starts to cut out, and the sound quality is very good,,,,, good luck

can I just plug this into my t.v and computer a the same time without anything extra, switch between which one I want to here the sound from?

Yes.  You can connect the TV via optical or rca. Pc can connect via a second optical cable or 3.5 cable (size of headphone).  You can toggle between sources using remote or tapping a button on the soundbar. Can't play both simultaneously tho.  Sound is very good for the price in my opinion.

is there a protective dust cover or any keeping from the bar having holes put in theme or something spilled onit?

Its got a clear plastic sheathing in front. Its encased pretty tight. The speakers are not covered and could be pierced, but its secure against liquid because it sits with the speakers vertical and the top is seamless. Speakers look water tight but if a little one tried to pick it up by puultting fingers in the speakers they could damage it

Box is gone now, but if I had to guess, I would say about 40"l, 16"h, 12"w.

Will I be able to use the soundbar controller to control my LG smart tv. Or vice versa? Like the Samsung devices?

You can use your LG Smart TV to control the sound bar's volume. Inherently, you can change the sound bar's volume via sound bar controller to affect TV volume.

If you have the correct settings on, the sound bar will turn on when you turn on your TV via TV remote and will turn off when it doesn't receive signal for X amount of time.

Is the Sound bar programmable to tv remotes, dish remotes, etc? or will the user have to use the sounds bar remote for volume functions?

The bar seems to work universally with powering on and off with the TV, but not volume. There are instructions that tell you how to program the controls from the soundbar.

This product says it is a 2.1 sound bar. Why do I see 6 speakers on the bar?

you have 2 main speakers and 2 wolfers and 2 tweeters .each channel has these three speakers

No other amp is required or needed.  I bought this sound bar and woofer last year and am extremely pleased with the set.
