if used with a new LG tv, do you have to use the remote with the sound bar to adjust the volume or will it be adjusted with the TVs remote?

I don't have LG TVs.  So I can't answer your question.  You can call LG and they would give you what you are looking for.  In my opinion, it would work with LG TVs.  Just to make sure, calling LG is the best.  Good luck.

What are the dimensions of the sound bar?

There seems to be a discrepancy in the width. This has to fit into a cabinet.

Does this soundbar have a hdmi port or not? The specs state that it does but when I scroll down it says it has 2 optical ports. Could someone please verify the specs for me? Thanks.

No it doesn't!  Great sound with the optical though!! 2 optical and one 3.5 headphone hookup. Front has USB.

Can I hook this up as a center speaker for my 7.1 surround??

It is DESIGNED to work as a complete sound system, but technically you CAN use the headphone line in to the soundbar from your receiver. I am not familiar with this soundbar but if it actually SAYS line in on the headphone jack, you would want to get a line level converter from the center speaker out on the receiver as the receiver would have amperage behind it to power a regular speaker and the soundbar has it own power source. It only needs the plain audio signal from the receiver, not the power/amperage behind it.
