What is optimum distance from projector to screen and optimum height for project from floor?

Hello,
The height has almost no importance since the auto keystone is really good at adjusting the image.
I have mine on a coffe table and projecting on the wall 3ft higher.

The distance however is important cause there is no zoom.
I would say you will have a 8ft screen at 10ft

Question 2

Does the projector have any connections other than USB? Can you connect a computer via HDMI or VGA? Has anybody encountered trying to watch movies, TV Shows, etc...?

Yes, it has HDMI and VGA inputs.  I connect it to my PC with VGA.

The image quality is excellent, but you have to be able to adjust the distance from the wall to get the ideal size/brightness combination.. there is no ability to set zoom on this.  The other issue I've run into is the projector focus changes slightly over time while it is warming up.  Since it's manual focus, this means for the first 10 minutes or so of watching, you'll probably feel the need to get up and adjust the manual focus knob on the projector to get text looking crisp again.  Lastly, 500 lumens is fine for a very dark room, but it gets faded quickly if you start to let daylight in or turn a light on.

Personally, if I had the opportunity to purchase again, I'd get something with 1500-2000 lumens, a shorter throw, and autofocus... Even if it's not pure LED, which is nice, but not worth the negatives to me.

Question 3

Several users have stated that this projector is 1080p; however, the specs state that the resolution is 1280 x 800. I'm confused; please help?

This projector can handle 1080p resolution, it does this by resizing the image to its native resolution. almost every device smaller than a 50" physical display that claims "1080p" does the same thing, because they don't physically have 2,073,600 pixels to display the full image on. This is a pretty nice projector I'm running mine @ 80" & it looks great, gotta keep the ambient light pretty low, but a good value.

Question 4

Is display size 100" the display height size or the display diagonal size?

100" would be the diagonal size, although in practice we have found we can get larger than that.  As it happens we don't have any wall space bigger than that anyway, so it works great for us.

Question 5

The description says it has IN-BUILT WiFi. Does this really has it? Can it be connected to home network without any additional device attached to it?

It does not work with normal wifi. You need to use something called WiDi. The device you are broadcasting from needs to have WiDi installed on it. I have not figured out how to do that from my iPhone. It comes with a disk that I can load onto my laptop.

Question 6

I realize that the LED lamp is listed to last for 30,000 hours. While that is appealing, I have yet to purchase any LED lamp that actually lasts as long as is advertised. Having said that, is the LED lamp:
1) Replaceable once it does burn out?
2) What is the type of bulb it requires to be replace? Please be specific
3) What is the cost of that replacement bulb?

Won't be able to help you directly answering your question, but I do have this product, now using for over an year. I did had some issue with the power, but the product comes with warranty of two years, so they fixed it returned it back.

I doubt you can replace the bulb though. Also even if you run 8 hours every day, thats almost 10 year. I would definitely replace this with better technology after that many years! :)

The only down side to this product is the volume. You will definitely need external speakers attached to it. Other then that i am satisfied with this product.

Question 7

I interested in this it I want know it can work on Iphone 5,6 or not?

If you are wondering if you can display from your iPhone through the wifi dongle that comes with the projector, the answer is no.  The wifi feature works with Intel's WiDi technology.  It was disappointing to discover that.  We use the projector in a classroom and have a direct feed with a cable.  I tried to display using my Motorola phone with active display, not exactly WiDi and that did not work either.

Question 8

What framerates does this projector support? i.e. up to 60fps at native resolution,  higher at VGA, etc. (I'm specifically hoping for 24fps playback for movies and 60fps for games from a console.)

I can verify that there is no lag when playing eso, skyrim, or dota. No lag on movies whatsoever. It looks the same as it would on your lcd screen so id venture to say yes, at least 60 fps. I love this projector. It is a MUST buy, my friend, and you won't regret it. Trust me. Its perfect!

Question 9

Hello, I have a ps4 connected to this projector and I was hoping i can watch 3D movies. But I got a message that the blu-ray 3D player has not detected that it is connected to a 3D display. Do i have to buy additional parts to watch 3d movies with this projector?

You're right it's very misleading.  Most of the projectors are 3D capable but not 100% ready meaning you will need to use a pc with the exact setting (resolution and compatible video cards) to play. In this case you ps4 is not the same as a pc where you can't set the right resolution required by the set.

Question 10

I am trying to project to ceiling from floor. I've heard that this project recognize the angle of itself and automatically adjusts vertical keystone. However, when I set it as vertical position, I believe this function cannot be used. Does anyone know if I can set the vertical keystone manually?
