Question 1

This TV is listed as 3D capable, but there are no specs listed regarding it's 3D feature.  Does implement a passive or active 3D system?  Will my current non-shutter (passive) glasses work with this TV, or would I need to purchase new active glasses?  Does it come with any glasses already?

It is a passive 3D system, with a 3D "Upconversion" system. The 4K resolution scaling lends itself well to the fact that passive systems do cut the resolution in half either vertically or horizontally. The TV should come with two sets of passive glasses, although there are many 3rd party sets available online. And while I am not endorsing this, most theatre 3D glasses are completely compatible with FPR (film pattern retarder), or "Passive" 3D TVs. Active shutter glasses are not required, and will not work with this technology.

As an aside, one of the best ways to make this work well is to allow "TruMotion" to run a dejudder/deblur (MEMC) to take native 3D Blu-ray sources from 24Hz/fps signals, and smooth them... This will essentially engage what many call the "Soap Opera Effect", which is actually entirely desirable for 3D, since most issues with crosstalk, blurriness, and headaches seems to stem from the slower motion causing judder, which causes the brain to struggle with reconciling a visual presentation with depth, and the older, much slower, 24-frame film-style cadence. LG has one of the better motion enhancement engines currently available, and I have found it to be the best received among my clients, particularly for 3D material. The 3D upconversion feature (upscaling is only a change in resolution, not a conversion to another display format) is decent, but does not truly compare to native material. However, the best benefit will be that regardless of sources material being converted or native, it will be more of an extended image with LG's system, rather than something that "pops out" at you - The image has more depth into the display.

However, please note that this is the last year model of LG's TVs that will support 3D for the foreseeable future, as they are discontinuing manufacture for 2017. It is not included in the Blu-ray 2.0 specs, so this is one of the last opportunities to buy this tech before it disappears. Happy hunting!

Question 2

Has anyone made a purchase through Adorama Camera.  If so, is there anything I should be wary about?

I purchased television from them on Thursday, received order tracking email from Newegg last night.  Contacted Adorama about how the television will be shipped, and the replied that they send the order directly to LG, who will ship it from the LG warehouse.  So far, no word from LG.

Question 3

Specifications mention plug type O for Thailand. Do i need a convertor or adaptor to use it in the US?

I have this same TV..  This same model.. I think its a typo because mine is just a regular US plug.. This is great deal at this price I paid almost $2000 for mine..
