Is the Lian Li A3-MATX-WD BLACK R case suitable for MATX motherboards?

Yes, you can use an MATX MB in it but just be aware that you may need to get a smaller PSU depending on your MB layout and current PSU size. I have 2 PCs in this case and love it. Cooling is excellent!
