Is this a wireless mouse?

This mouse has a wire connection. Excellent basic mouse. My son likes mouse with wire better than the wireless ones.

Is the wheel notched or smooth?

The wheel is notched on the ones I have. Sorry it took so long to answer.

Does it work with Windows *?

Out of the box t will work with ANY version of Windows and Linux (no idea about Macs) that supports USB. That would include Windows 95 OSR/2.0 and later so you should be good to go. With a USB to PS/2 adapter it will work with ALL versions of Windows.

The MN and PN are blurred out on picture #4. What are they?

M/N-M-U0026 and P/N-810-002182. FYI the M/N is hard-coded but P/N is via a sticker so P/N may vary.

Is it opaque or is laser light visible?

The mouse is opaque. The light is only visible when the mouse isn't sitting against the surface--then it's rather bright and easily visible.

What is the width and height of the mouse?
