Does this mouse work with windows 10? I noticed it does not list it under compatibility.

it works perfectly fine on windows 10, i've used it from vista to 7 to 8 and then upgraded to 10 and it has suffered to problems.

does this mouse have a back and forward button?

Yes, you can program any of the buttons to be back and forward. The middle mouse wheel has left/right tilt buttons, which are convenient as back/forward buttons (you can kind of see it in pictures).

The new Logitech peripherals software is a nice upgrade from the old versions, makes programming your mice pretty simple.

Question 3

I have a G35 mouse. I never owned a SUPER gaming mouse, and I am looking at upgrading.

I am worried about the response time with the "click". Have any of you had issue with the clicks? Some of the reviews say it is slow and unresponsive.

I myself haven't noticed any delays in clicks. The mouse itself appears responsive to movements and actions. Unfortunately, the size and bulkiness of the mouse make it sub-optimal for my gaming needs. I play fps, rts, and mobas using very high sensitivity, and the amount of effort it takes in maneuvering the mouse hinders response times and reflexes. As a result I went back to using my Logitech G9 for games, and the G600 for my secondary work computer. Ironically enough, I bought this mouse because while the G9's performance is admirable, its small size leads to hand cramps, especially in long sessions.

i have larger hands and was wondering how the size compares to my current mouse, a razer deathadder?

I do not have a Razer to compare it to, but it is shorter and wider than my G500, and a little shorter in height.  My hand is not yet accustomed to it, but as a big hand guy myself I expect I will get used to it.  The extra width makes up for the length and height and puts my hand at least in a little different position.  I have had it a little while but I have only recently started using it.  if you need the buttons, it's hard to beat.

I am planning to pickup this mouse, but I did not want to get that bad firmware one. Did anyone recently get it know that newegg updated their inventory with the good mice?

Yes, I was sent one and in hindsight it appeared that it had been repackaged. I suspect it was one sent back for the exact reason you are trying to avoid. I was dinged a restocking fee plus had to pay shipping; the worst Newegg experience I've ever had. If you order it you just might get the one I sent back.

Question 6

If I buy this mouse and get an older one with firmware issues will I be able to RMA it to Logitech to ensure I get a new one? Also are these on sale because Newegg is trying to emty their inventory of defective mice?

First if you get a defective one, (rare chance as all the broken ones were recalled out of inventories or RMA'ed by now), you can simply send it back to the provider and get a replacement no problem.

I personally ordered one from here recently about 1-2 months ago and mine came none issue.

Also the sale is because they are trying to clean out their inventory but because logitech is pushing through their newer flagship at this time the G602 wireless edition and the new G700 mouse.

My best opinion take this amazing deal if you are considering an upgrade. You won't be disappointed by the G600 and certainly not at $50.

I'm female with fairly small hands (7' from pinkie to thumb, 3' wide palm), how would this mouse be with my tiny hands?

HI there!  I just measured my hand (spread out) and i am at 6 inches from pinkie finger to thumb and 3" wide palm.  I use this mouse for gaming and I LOVE it!  I have no issues with the size at all.  :) Hope this helps!

Can the thumb panel buttons be macro'd? Or do they just correspond to the num pad (as one reviewer stated)?

They can be macro'd through the logitech software. including keystroke, multi keystroke text blocks mouse functions media controls hotkeys shortcuts "functions" and ventrilo controls by default. plus can do game specific actions and profiles for individual games/apps.

Question 10

Will my computer read those 12 mouse buttons as mouse 4, 5, etc? Because right now I am using ACTION! recording software and have my screenshot button as mouse 5.

I also have my push to talk in mumble as mouse 4. Will I still be able to map those functions to 2 of the 12 buttons on the side with no hassle? Just a simple "click the button you want to use for this function?"

Also, would that setup interfere in MMO's? Like say, I want to take a screenshot but one of my abilities was auto-mapped to that button and goes off (along with the screen shot).

Hello! I am an owner of the G600 mouse. The Logitech software lets you completely customize the mouse's buttons. As Windows only supports buttons 4 and 5, the rest must be either programmed as either keyboard strokes or macros.

As an MMO recorder with TeamSpeak myself, I would suggest that you rebind everything once you get this mouse. Mouse button 4 and 5 are the tilt wheel buttons by default. I set all the side buttons as my numpad since I can't accidentally press those buttons.

As a final note, I like this mouse. I like the texture of the mouse cable, and you can tell it to save your changes on its internal memory, which means if you set it to the point you're comfortable never changing it again, every computer you plug it into will have the same button setup without installing the software and starting again
