Anyone notice any blemishes with using a white mouse? I realize that on my old mouse, dead skin cells would build up (YUCK) in the nooks and crannies after several weeks of not cleaning. How hard is it to clean this mouse? Does any paint/color rub off?

I have been using this mouse for about six months without any problems. The color of the mouse after extensive gaming use has remained true to its original color. Cleaning isn't really an issue, the side buttons are sealed well so those can be wiped off without junk getting under the buttons, and the rest of the mouse is just like any other. Just needs a wipe down every once and a while. Hope this helps.

why is the white version cheaper?

In my opinion people generally prefer black (and matching) peripherals. Now unless it's just me there appears to be an issue with the paint on this mouse. Where my fingertips and hands contact the mouse consistently there is a pinkish hue coming through. I think it's the plastic underneath. My hands are always clean when using the mouse.

All in all it's a fantastic mouse though.

Question 3

I know that an old version of the G600 does not support firmware update. If I get this edition, will I be able to update it's firmware?

I bought the first version from 2012, model 77.00.12, the one that did not support firmware updates. It had that issue where the cursor would randomly jump to the edge of the screen, making it useless for gaming. To Logitech's credit, they replaced my defective version with the new version with no hassle. The old version that could not update its firmware has not been produced for years, the one Newegg is currently selling should support firmware updates.

Does the software support windows 10?

Been using windows 10 for 2 months the software has been working as normal, also I've had the mouse for 2 years now and it still works just as well as the day I received it.

Are the top two buttons (the ones below the scroll wheel) programmable or are they only for controlling DPI settings?

Yes, all the buttons are programmable, including the two rearward from the mouse wheel. They can be programmed to adjust DPI, swap button profiles, a number of mouse functions, and keyboard keystrokes.
