Question 1

How long does the battery normally last? It's looks like it's convenient to recharge, but I'm wondering if they did that because the battery doesn't last long.

I haven't tracked life. Owning since August, I think I've charged it 3 or 4 times. So my guess is under average use ~ 1 month. Charging doesn't take long and you will be prompted when it's required. I have both a Mac and a PC and this unit compares very favorably with Apple's track pad which I use with my iMac.

IS THIS PRODUCT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 7 PROFESSIONAL?

Answer is yes. It works for me on Windows 8 Pro, just be aware it will only serve as a simple touchpad (mouse pointer) with clicky feedback in W7 unless you install some other software to mimic Windows 8 "Charms"

is this compatible with chromebook pixel?

I don't use the pad on a chrome device, but i do use it on a chrome browser and as you update it you will be prompt if you would like to install the scroll extension. I personally don't use the extension but everything on chrome works fine for me so i would guesstimate that yes it should work fine hope this helps.

What are the dimension of this pad? Amazingly, the specs don't mention it. Nor does the overview.

It measures 7" on the diagonal.  I do not recommend buying one of these since they're out of production and there are NO new drivers.  It doesn't support the full gamut of Windows 10 gestures (precision trackpad).  I used it for a total of about 10 minutes and then tossed it back in the box and went back to my preferred gaming mouse.  You will likely be disappointed if you're hoping to replicate a precision trackpad experience on the desktop.

Yes, 
I purchased this for three reasons:  1.  It is very compatible with Windows (XP through 10)  2.  It is really good on battery life even if you leave the mouse on when not in use.  3. It is compact, not only is the mouse small (but not too small) but the little Micro USB plug doesn't get in the way especially when you are using a laptop.

Can you write notes on a computer using a stencil and this device?

Not sure what stencil is. If you mean those cut outs for letters and such... This is very similar to the track pad on an Apple devise. I just put a plastic stencil on it and moved around with my finger. It works. Using Windows 7 anyway.

Is this a "precision touchpad" supporting all of the Windows 10 features? (three finger switch desktop)?

I don't use Windows 10, but it already has three and four finger gesture support built in.
