Question 1

Does this mouse only have two extra buttons on the sides?  As in, are there only two programmable buttons on the left side?  Any on the right side?

There are only two buttons on the left side. No buttons on the right. Personally I prefer it that way, I dislike mice with too many extraneous buttons.

Question 2

How does this mouse compare to the g502? Size, weight, feel, etc.?

Hi Nathan, 
The 403 is a lot lighter. The weight of the 503 per the Logitech website is 121 grams whereas the 403 is only 87.3.  Bear in mind that the 403 is wireless and also has a 1ms response rate which is as fast as the 502.  Because the 502 is a wired mouse, that adds more weight. Again, per Logitech, with the wire attached, (which it always is) the weight goes to 168 grams for the 503. The bottom line is that's half the weight. I have switched back to the 502 for kicks after months of using the 403 and it took me 5 minutes to go back to the 403. The 403 fits higher into the palm than the 503 does. For me, it feels much more accurate and stable in FPS games. It's also very noticeable and nice not to have the wire dragging me down in close quarter situations for sure. I win many of those fights because of the 403. I also have a G900 wireless mouse and I prefer the 403 for pretty much the same reasons. On a side note, I have pretty sizable hands. It  will look great with your setup also because of the RGB if you're into that sort of thing.  I don't know, but I seem to do better with lighter mice than with heaver ones. It feels much more accurate.
