It's a little less than 11 inches wide, a little less than 5 inches deep. The front thickness is about 1/4 inch and at the back it's closer to 1/2 inch. I wish I could attach some pictures to give you a better idea. I put it on top of my full-size laptop's keyboard. The left shift is fully visible and on the right, the middle column (2 5 8 /) of my numeric keypad is half covered. The depth of the keyboard is about the same in terms of the actual keys -- the keyboard case makes it just a little deeper than the space a keyboard takes up on the laptop. The front edge is considerably thinner than my laptop, and the back edge is just about as thick.

I'm a man with fairly large hands (eat your heart out, Donald) and this keyboard is almost too small to be comfortable for me. Thankfully, it's not mine. It's my girlfriend's and she loves it. Very good fit for her, and we use it both for an iMac and for a PC. Functionality between the two is absolutely fine -- it's pretty agnostic wrt what hardware you want to use with it.

will this work with a kindle fire hd 7 in? i assume it's the most recent generation of the tablet as i purchased it within the last month.

should pair with this device and any other.
