Has anyone bought the K840 refurbished (sold by Newegg)? How did it go?

Yep! Purchased about 1 year ago.

Everything still works and works well.* Pleasant typing experience.  This was purchased because a coworker politely mentioned that my Cherry MX Blue key-switches made them want to “smash that [stupid dumb] keyboard with a sledgehammer then throw it in the garbage”  just to see the look on my face (honestly tho, I would probably hate me too). I was on a budget and this seemed like a suitable alternative for the price.  It took a few days but I grew to enjoy it. Admittedly, I’ve since moved back to my MX blues (the employee mentioned above was terminated due to an unrelated incident), but the K840 is still cranking quietly away at another employee’s desk.

*Very strange thing: Sometimes when I touched the metal chassis, I would receive a curiously strong shock of static electricity. I don’t understand the cause, and it only happens on this keyboard. I’m 99% convinced that it’s because it was refurbished. Not sure if it’s current user has figured this out yet. I should probably tell them.
