Pros: -quiet -LCD Display -Huge wireless range (30 ft+ for me) -Programmable keys/buttons -well placed keys (i do not accidentally hit anything on this keyboard) -built for quality/durability, seems very sturdy/solid -mouse tracks very well. Easily good enough for gaming -mouse feels good in the hand. not too heavy, buttons are in good spots, 2nd wheel, while slightly gimmicky, works well - SetPoint software is quite clever tho game mode doesn't work all the time. - excellent battery life AND charge time +++. the mouse takes about 2 hours for full charge and lasts 7 days + with heavy use. And I'm not convinced the keyboard actually uses juice as the batteries last over 200 days. -Bluetooth connector is SMALL. no large transmitter to stick on your desk that just gets in the way. -keyboard can play sounds when buttons like CAPS is hit. (surprisingly the beep is not annoying) -stylish! looks great especially if you have other logitech goodies -compara
Cons: -2nd mouse wheel is NOT a full mouse wheel. it has 3 functions, forward, back, and click. the wheel does not spin. Nor does it like to work in games like Crysis, Arkham Asylum, and Dragon age. I did get it to work by assigning keystrokes to the buttons with the setpoint software (j for forward, k for back etc...) but some games, mainly older ones, mapped the same commands to both wheels no matter what. (both wheels function perfect outside game engines) - The LCD display is also kinda gimmicky. No back light but is still very readable even in low light. can only display date/time, media player, room temp (handy if u overclock and watch your temps), some kind of selection menu, a keystroke counter, and e-mail inbox. (some other keyboards can be customized to display just about whatever) - Cant control Kim Jong Ill's nuclear missile silo from here.
Overall Review: my keyboard and mouse bundle shipped fully functional, every key and button works and works well. Also i must say they all feel solid and durable. I don't expect to have problems in that area at all. I had no problems getting it to work with windows 7 ultimate x86 and x64. even works for me while booting up without installing any software! (Via BIOS/890gxm chip set) logitech wrote the book for Plug n Play. I bought this thinking that it would be a good middle of the road keyboard. i wanted something i could type and essay, then play modern warfare for 5 hours. I am pleasantly surprised at how well it works. as a gaming setup its crisp, precise, and has the buttons where you want them. as a ergonomic keyboard its soft, quiet, user friendly, and feels right ( sorry, but I don't know how else to say it) -have seen some poor reviews for this combo, all I can say is they must have gotten a defective product. Mine is perfect. 5 eggs! My final verdict is: excellent value for mon
