Question 1

Does the player have a remote, and does it come installed with netflix, and what is needed to update apps on the device?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the player has a remote. It is a very simple remote, and is the only way to access functions of the player as there are no buttons on the player itself.
Yes, the player is installed with Netflix, Vudu, Hulu Plus, Picassa, and Pandora. We use it for Netflix and Pandora. The Netflix allows you to search for movies, and play movies in your instant queue. The Pandora function doesn't allow as many functions as the regular online site, but will play your stations from your existing account just fine.
I believe the apps update automatically. The box is connected via wifi as long as the power is on.

Question 2

Will it work with older analog TV?
How do you update the Hulu software?

Accepted Answer

It will work with any TV with composite (yellow, red, white) video inputs.

Question 3

Can I attach to TV using HDMI cable only connection?

Accepted Answer

Of course, Tony--that's intended as the main configuration for most users. You may be concerned about the sound connection from the unit: Given this device, HDMI passes high-quality digital sound--as well as video--to your digital TV. Thus, you need merely an HDMI cable connected from this device (and competing similar streaming devices) to your TV to obtain both video and audio: That's the beauty of HDMI!
