Does this work with SSDs instead of hard drives?

If you read the description, it is compatible with both. I have similar products from MAIWO, and they work with both. I just ordered this one today. I don't have direct experience yet, but I did the research and it states it works with both. You MUST have a 10Gbps or better USB interface to get speed benefits from SSD raid. If you don't have 10 or 20 Gbps ports, you will only get 5Gbps performance from the SSD drive. With 10Gbps ports, I get about 1056Mbps on my MAIWO RAID enclosures, and with NON-RAID, you would get closer to 560Mbps on SSD drives. You can expect a 90% Speed improvement for Hard Drives when you set up the two drives in RAID 0.
