Overall Review: Few weeks back i posted that the sub stopped working after 2 weeks of using it. After troubleshooting it, turns out that it was NOT the sub. It was actually a brand new sub cable that i purchased at a local store a day prior to getting these bad boys delivered. They had a short or something. Everything is back to awesome now. I'm really happy with my purchase of these speakers from NewEgg. And i also would like to apologize to those who read the review that i posted and perhaps steered away from purchasing this awesome set of speakers.

Pros: These are simply the best speakers I have ever head. The other reviews sounded to positive that they almost seemed fake. I got the speakers and they hold up to the reviews. All around excellent.

Cons: Absolutely none!

Pros: Great highs, accurate mids, and solid, smooth bass. Sure, the sub could have a lower response, but I really respect the decision to make a better bass for the price range that doesn't go all the way to 20hz. The bass fits in perfect with the satellites. Playing Battlefield 3 the other day my significant other jumped, because she thought there were actual explosions going off outside, and she's *played* battlefield 3 before. Classical music really sings on these as well - they have a great smooth response all the way through, and the bass is powerful enough to drive any kind of music. I tried these both on a JVC 500w receiver, and a cheap Onkyo 185W, and, although the Onkyo had to be pushed a bit on the rears, I think these speakers are just fine on the cheap amp.

Cons: The bass is great and fits in with the satellites, but if you want real earth-shattering bass, buy another sub and add to these satellites. Also, as mentioned elsewhere, the mouting brackets could be better. Also, they don't look so hot with the grills removed - they don't look poorly built, but don't have the shiny steel and clean black lines of my previous Logitech surround system. With the grills on, however, they look fine.

Overall Review: These tend to go on sale 1-2 times a year for $250 (the more powerful MLT-2 go for $270). I bought these instead of the MLT-2 because I didn't want to spend much on an amp, and was replacing a broken set of Logitech Z-560s. These MartinLogan's have the same driver type, but the addition of tweeters really helps the highs. Usually I would say computer surround systems are a better buy for the price because computer speakers have far lower margins than home audio, but the deal on these MartinLogan's is terrific. Paired with a used amp, they're the cheapest great sounding system around. The bass might not go as low as my old Logitech's, but it is much more accurate and not as muddy, and plenty strong enough to handle bass-heavy music like dubstep, and tank rounds exploding in Battlefield.

Pros: Super deal. I got it on sale for $2##.00. The sound great and free shipping from Newegg Can not complain.

Pros: I got these speakers today and let me tell you, what a set. They are very clear and play loud. Looks great with my Samsung 55" LED. I have read some reviews about these speakers and decided to get em. No regrets here!! NEWEGG, keep up the good work. Ordered speakers and three days later UPS was bringing them. Nothing broken, all perfect. Thanks again for a great product along with a great price. This replaced a Bose V20 system and thank heavens, I did.

Cons: Haven't found any yet!!

Pros: Great price and great sound for a small satellite system. The speakers sound awesome for being the size they are. These speakers blow away the Bose systems people are paying $1K+. I have friend that are not audio files that purchased Bose systems swap pre my recommendations not to. They have recently come to visit me and were sincerely upset that they didn't follow my advice. If you pair these speakers with a good receiver that has low distortion I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Cons: I wish I could find some do dipoles that matched and were made by ML and I wish you could purchase additional satellite channels for a 7.1. I'm thinking about trying to find someone to split a system with to make 7.1 and 7.2 systems out of what we have.

Pros: Very loud, clear and bass.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: First REAL 5.1 surround system I pay for. My older ones were terrible and I was blown away when I heard these speakers. I hooked them up to an old Kenwood receiver they sounded really good. Than I went out and bought an Onkyo 590 and it sounded even better.

Pros: Great 5.1 sound! I am impressed how well they sound with my denon receiver.
