My laptop doesn't have a DisplayPort and all It has as a display out put is a HDMI port. I would like to know if I buy a HDMI to DisplayPort will work or not?

You may be better using the T2G-D3D-IF which is DVI-DL input to 3 DVI outputs. You will simply need a HDMI to DVID adapter cable to go from your computer to the Matrox box. It would be best to contact Matrox directly to discuss your specific application. \

Will this work with a dvi-i dual link to hdmi cable to my 55" TV with Hdmi inputs or would work with vga using dvi-d to vga cable?

Most likely not the wwy would think it would. It stretchew the screen so 3 monitors show one screen and the resolution. Not like having the different cards with different inputs where can manage 3 different screens. It will take some play with the layout and resolution and it is a great product that will work for you.
