Can the MS Arc keyboard pair with a tablet?

Not to my knowledge, but I comfess that I never tried. The keyboard comes with a usb attachment tuned to its signal frequency. I suppose a tablet with usb would plug in fine, but the ipad doesn't have that.

I recently purchased an MS Arc keyboard and like everything about it (ergonomics, size, portability etc), except for one thing. It seems to drain the two AAA batteries very quickly--sometimes within a couple of hours. Never will they last an 8 hour work shift. Is this normal, or is there a glitch in my keyboard?

I have never replaced the batteries since I owned it. How close is the usb receiver from the keyboard and how many wireless devices are near it?
