Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: This keyboard design is faulty. There is a known problem which causes some keys to randomly stop working altogether. Search the web for "comfort curve 2000 static charge build up" and see for yourself

Overall Review: This keyboard design has been on the market for years and still Microsoft refuses to fix it. Boo.

Pros: Can't make it work to find out.

Cons: Showed up DOA with J,K,L, and : keys all not working.

Overall Review: I know it's a cheap keyboard, but I have plenty of cheap keyboards that work just fine. I don't expect miracles, but at least the keys should work.

Pros: Ergonomic but NOT split, transition from standard keyboard format almost nonexaistent; quiet typing; large useful volume control keys, nice limited number of app-launch hotkeys, low profile and not so easy to hit on accident; excellent ms-calculator launch button above the numpad; Num/caps/scroll lock lights are readable icons rather than just LEDs

Cons: Slightly shallow keys compared to standard keyboards, much deeper than laptop however; raisers in the back get bent very easily

Overall Review: A fantastic keyboard altogether, at a budget-scraping price, and ergonomic.

Pros: WOW! I cant believe the poor reviews. I have used these for years without issue. I spilled a whole cup of coffee in mine and it still works. MS stopped making them and replaced it with a poor keyboard. These go for as much as $350 used now. They are, hands down, the best keyboard I have ever used. I am in IT (20 years) Microsoft - BRING THESE BACK!! Laptop keyboard style clicky action.. Feels just like typing on a quality apple laptop except its full sized. The function keys are very handy. I use the volume, mute, and calc key daily. Its short stroke action, clean crisp click, and slim keys make for very fast typing.

Cons: Only con is that they dont make them anymore.

Overall Review: Microsoft, bring these keyboards back! These are so superior to its successor!

Pros: The "curve" is weird at first but I learned to love it and have trouble with regular keyboards. The calculator button is awesome.

Cons: I've owned two of these over the past few years and they all stop working, usually a particular letter or two just stop working.

Pros: Everything on the two of these I bought worked fine upon arrival.

Cons: Less than a year, keys have started requiring multiple strokes to register. Over a year, some keys have completely failed on both. I expect keyboards to last a minimum of 5 years as I'm a touch typist with medium impact.

Overall Review: To fix the "random keys stop working" issue. Simply do the following... Pick up the keyboard, and SMACK the bottom of it... I was about to go find a new keyboard, but fixed it very easily by doing this.

Pros: Cheap. Nice curve.

Overall Review: We've had 10-15 of these in the last 2 or 3 years. Eventually the keys start failing. It is time to replace this one as the T only works 1/2 the time. Don't hink I'll buy anymore of hese.
