Pros: Quality construction, good wireless range, easy setup. Mouse works good as well.
Cons: Slight curve to the keyboard surface. I'm not sure what that design is supposed to accomplish.
Overall Review: Plugged it in, came up with no work! (windows xp) works great for the computer in the living room. Keyboard goes on or under the coffee table. Works fine at 8 to 10 feet away. I noticed there is a limit with line-of-sight. The receiver is on the back of the PC. If I also have something large on the table between the keyboard/mouse and computer then the signal is lost. This would probably be resolved if I had a front USB port on that computer for the receiver unit.
Pros: Sleek design, good mouse size, affordable price
Cons: Short wireless range - I purchased two of these keyboard/mouse combos for a client, and when I tested one of the keyboards, it worked okay. However, I had the wireless transmitter (the little USB plugin for the computer) was less than two feet away when I was testing. Once I installed the computer for my client, the transmitters were about four feet away from the keyboard and mouse. All that was between them physically was a desk, but the mouse would sometimes jerk around. When moved closer to the transmitter, it worked fine.
Overall Review: If you have a USB slot on your desk near where your keyboard is going to be, then this keyboard and mouse will work fine. If you plan on plugging the transmitter on the back of a desktop, however, prepare to have a jittery mouse due to poor signal with the transmitter.
normally, I'd say it's just a faulty transmitter, but I had two, so I think it's just a weak transmitter overall.
Pros: The keyboard and mouse are very reliable. They can take a beating (made it through two moves) and the wireless has a strong signal with very few disconnects.
Cons: The feel of both the mouse and keyboard are terrible. My fiance, who is a typical user (i.e. she isn't going to care/know about the difference between rubber dome and mechanical keyboards) would barely touch these. I have to agree with her. The keys feel squishy, almost like a children's toy. The mouse's scroll wheel feels like it is going to break at any moment (although, to its credit, it isn't actually fragile).
Overall Review: A good buy if you are looking for something cheap that you will only need to use briefly and infrequently (i.e. htpc, server, etc.). However, it would be a chore to do anything that requires extensive or frequent use with this combo.
Pros: Mouse model 1000...I have another one and way prefer it to Logitech M310 which has sensitivity issues on all PC's
This combo doesn't interfere with existing Mouse 1000 hooked to a different PC in the same work area
Doesn't appear to interfere with anything else...there's been talk of USB 3 devices interfering with wireless components...I haven't seen problems.
Value..I got this combo for $20...Hard to beat
Cons: None really...YMMV on keyboard feel...I'd prefer a bit lighter touch, but unless I start writing a novel, no biggie.
Pros: I don't know, did not even plug it in.
Cons: The image on new egg website shows letters located in the corner of the keys. In fact, they letters are in middle of the keys. As a result, it's impossible to use this keyboard for any charter set other than standard English. Transparent stickers used to add more characters to the keyboard will not work.
Pros: Does what I bought it for and does it will.
Overall Review: It's a simple keyboard and mouse. It does what it was designed for and does it well.
Pros: Great units for a desktop. The usb plug is small and does not inhibit side by side usage with other USB plug ins. Range is excellent and the overall "feel" is refined.
Overall Review: These keyboards and mice make excellent gifts as technical knowledge to install is low. The feedback from the keyboard is low but acceptable.
Pros: Keyboard works well enough so far. It has a spot to replace batteries easily and with the standard kind. Keyboard has all standard keys unlike a lot of wireless. I never cared about the mouse. I use a logitech thumb track ball and swear by it.
Cons: Keyboard is hard to see by the monitor light alone. You really need extra lighting. The keys are kind cramped together but I knew that before I bought it.
Overall Review: It was the best reviewed wireless keyboard for the price at the time.
