Yes. That's what I understand. You might receive an offer to "buy" the product after one year, also, or anytime before. That's how Adobe products are marketed, and they're more costly than Office.

Yes, you must renew each year. However, that automatically entitles you to updates and fixes, including major releases. I was updated just a few weeks ago to Office 2016.

Laptops are computers.  The subscription allows installation of the Office Suite on one computer and the Outlook, OneNote, Word and OneDrive Apps on one Smart Phone or tablet.

They will not permit downloading the installer. However, since you have created a Microsoft 365 account in order to access it at all, the installer is always available online.

It will not. When you say renewal, are you referring to upgrading an older version of office/outlook or are you referring to renewing office 365?

It worked perfectly for me.  You will receive a product activation key from Newegg that you can then apply directly to your existing Microsoft Office subscription.  From the time I placed the Newegg order to the time I had my subscription successfully extended by 1 year was approximately 30 minutes.  Very easy process.
