What does it mean by (no media) in the description?

No install CD/DVD. You will download the installer from Microsoft's website.

If you want a physical copy of program on DVD you need to purchase a retail version or you can download the ISO of the program and then manually burn that ISO on to a self provided DVD and then you'll have "media" for the license key.

Does MS Outlook 2013 store the .pst and .pab files on my PC?
If so, can I copt them to a CD or DVD?

Yes, they do store them locally (easiest just to search for *.pst or *.pab to find the path).   Yes, you can copy them to a CD or DVD, but they will be read only when copied back to a computer and that setting will have to be changed for Outlook to access the file.

What does it mean when it says no media?  I just bought a new PC and it has office home & student 2010 but it does not have outlook what is the best way to get just outlook

Hi.
The product key means that you have to go on the net to MSFT to download the Outlook program.  We did not have a fast line so we ended up sending it to a computer store to download it for us at an excessive cost. If you want to download it yourself, you have a fast net connection or it may time out after a day or so.  Ours timed out after a day and a half.

The home and student 2010 is a stripped down version of their suite and does not have Outlook.  Also, the Word program is a small version of the full Word, so it has limited functionality and cannot open old files, etc.  We had to buy Word also and install it ourselves to be able to use older files.

What does the key card mean?  Is the program available on CD?

Typically, to my knowledge, the Office 2013 products are not available on CD. "Product Key Card" simply means that the product you receive will be a sealed card with the installation key and installation/download instructions. No media will be received. Also, note that the Outlook software, during the download and installation process, will be linked to your Microsoft account. If you need to reinstall on the same computer, you can re-download it from Microsoft's site. Depending on the licensing terms (I haven't looked extensively at the new terms), you may or may not be allowed to uninstall the product from one machine to install it on another.

IS this a 32 bit application and does it have the Outlook Client download or just serial numbers?

Outlook 2013 is available as 32 or 64 bit, but depends on the processor on your computer for which version to install.

This is a download only product, a card is provided with download codes to download and install the product.   You will need or have to create a Microsoft account to download.

What is the difference between the boxed and download versions?  (I want a version that gives me a DVD, so I am not dependent on downloads!)

The boxed version seems to indicate there is no DVD (media?) included.

Please help with this!

The boxed version is much better. The problem with the download is you have to set up an account with Microsoft. That requires yiou to keep track of another password. To reinstall you have to logon to your account and install from there. There is no option to burn a CD from the download. The negative is of course the price.

Yes, this product key refers to a website to download from.  Once downloaded, you then type in the key code which is written on the card purchased from newegg.  You can also purchase and download Outlook 2013 directly from Microsoft store online.

I think I need a new copy of Outlook to fix a *.pst error in 2007, but I want a copy of the program on DVD. Microsoft seems to offer to sell this option as a sort of back up but AFTER buying and downloading. Is this view accurate?

Well, depending on what you are trying to do with the pst, there are lots of free tools that could help you without needing to purchase outlook.

If your question is does this key give you ability to have outlook 2013 on dvd, yes.  Youll register key with Microsoft, obtain a link to download - you'll have to find the offline, iso file l. It's there in the Microsoft page but hard to find. Once you have the iso, you can mount virtually or use a free iso to dvd program. Burn, you now have outlook 2013 on dvd.
