The ScanMaker i900 dual-media scanner offers separate scan beds for photos and film (legal-size upper bed and 8x10-inch lower bed), E.D.I.T. glassless film scanning for distortion-free film scans, multiple sampling, and superior optics. Six rows of charge-coupled device (CCD) sensors provide improved color reproduction with true 48-bit depth and resolutions up to 3,200dpi for finer details and sharper text.
The included SnapTrans film holders accommodate 35mm slides, 35mm filmstrips, 4x5-inch film, and medium format film. An additional glass tray accommodates uo to 8" x 10" transparencies. The stylish and functional housing design features a solid build and provides a stable base for quality image scans. Setup is easy requiring nothing more than plugging in the included power adapter and connecting the scanner via a high-speed USB 2.0 cable or FireWire (also included).
Microtek's bundled a large software package with PictuRescue total photo and film restoration system, featuring DIGITAL ICE to fix damaged photos and film, plus automatic color restoration through ColoRescue to revive faded colors to their original brilliance. You also get Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0, Adobe Photoshop Album SE (Windows), Microtek ScanWizard 5, Microtek Scan, Copy, Email, OCR, Scan to Web utilities, ABBYY FineReader Sprint OCR, Kodak Digital Science Color Management, Ulead Photo Explorer, and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
