Middle Atlantic NEXSYS Series 2RU 15 Amp UPS Backup Power System with Bank Outlet Control - 1500VA - 2U - 120 V AC Input - 110 V AC, 120 V AC, 127 V AC Output - Serial Port - 8x NEMA 5-15R (UPX-1500R-2)

The Middle Atlantic NEXSYS UPX-1500R-2 is a 1500VA/1350W, 2U rack-mountable UPS with eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, suited to rack-based AV or IT setups that need backup power and multiple connections.

Recommended For

• Fixed AV racks in control rooms, conference spaces, or installed sound systems that need battery backup and power conditioning for connected electronics.
• AV or network rack operators who want to keep essential devices such as routers, switches, and control processors running through brief power interruptions or long enough for an orderly shutdown.
• Installers managing racks with two groups of equipment—for example, critical networking gear and less-essential AV devices—who can use bank-level outlet control to prioritize loads.
• AV setups with sensitive audio or video electronics that benefit from pure-sine-wave output when the UPS is running on battery.

Real-World Use Scenarios

• In a commercial AV rack, a brief power interruption can otherwise restart room-control, video, and network equipment; this UPS provides battery backup so connected equipment can stay powered through a short outage.
• For an AV system with critical processors and less-essential rack equipment, an installer can place devices on the two controlled outlet banks and switch or shed a bank when reducing the connected load is needed.
• In a conference-room equipment rack, the UPS can help keep AV and control gear running during a short utility outage, reducing the chance that a brief interruption turns into an immediate room-system restart.
• Where a rack experiences utility voltage fluctuations, its line-interactive regulation can help keep connected AV equipment supplied within the UPS’s supported operating range without relying on battery for every correction.
• For a rack that needs to be powered down during an extended outage, battery backup can provide a window to begin an orderly shutdown; available time depends on the equipment load, so it is not a substitute for extended runtime.
