Will this work with USB 1.1?

From the Specifications tab:

With this single drive you get compatibility with the latest USB 3.0 devices and backward compatibility with USB 2.0 devices as well.

That said, it *might* work with USB 1.1 but it's not officially supported.

Question 2

The specifications says 500gb, title says 1 Terabyte. What is right?  Please fix it.

u have to reformat drive for mac do u have usb 3.0 on your mac i dont think this comes with a cable for mac  u need to check that but if have everything in order this will do the job

Can the hard drive from this be removed and placed into a PS4 or laptop? I've heard WD started soldering on the USB port in place of the SATA connector on these.

Usually that's the case with external hard drives, but I've never opened mine up, and I'm not exactly confident that I wouldn't break mine if I tried to check for you. I'd recommend just getting fresh internal HD, or even a Solid-State drive if you can afford it! From what I hear, a solid state should make your PS4 run faster in fact. (Google it loll)

can i use this for my ps4 to store my games on the external instead of the system hard drive?

Yes, but you will have to assign the hard drive once you have formatted it.  Once assigned any games you install from then on will be installed on it.

OK, as one reviewer complains, WD does not include a free copy of the $50 acronis software on this $52 drive (Aug 2016), does this drive function as a USB drive without it?
