The SR Studio 2Channel 1073Style Microphone Preamp is a vintagestyle microphone, line, and instrument preamplifier. The signal path uses only discrete components, such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors. The input and output is transformerbalanced, using two different transformers, each optimized for its purpose. The circuit used is similar to the preamp section in the classic 1073 module, with a corresponding sound character that is warm, punchy, sweet, and musical. These classic characteristics have been heard on countless recordings throughout the years. It is a versatile sound that works well on most sound sources and in most musical genres.
