How we got our start
It started in a living room in New York City in 2016. It all began when we spotted a trend; overpriced, low-quality gear being sold as high end. We knew there had to be a solution. That’s when Montem Outdoor Gear was born.What makes our product unique
What started out as a trekking pole developed by hikers, for hikers became a passion for developing, and engineering the most ergonomic and innovative outdoor gear. Our mission is to bring you the highest quality gear, for the best prices, with a touch of style (11 colors!), and a lot of ingenuity.Why we love what we do
Simply put, we have a passion for the outdoors. We aren't a generic company looking to start a massive business, we just love making gear and getting it into your hands without forcing you to spend a lot of money. We love coming up with new design ideas, colorways, and advancements in our gear.
Strong, durable, and made to last, thats our promise. We've spent over 5,000 hours designing, testing, and perfecting our trekking poles so we can offer you top of the line gear.
What's so special about that? We use aircraft grade Aluminum 7075, not cheap alloys or mixtures and we treat our aluminum appropriately during the manufacturing process. We don't cut corners and put the integrity of our gear at risk. This allows the poles to take a beating and keep on going.
