Is there a waya to set this phone up for Straight talk??

Yes, there is. You will need to purchase a sim card from straight talk as well as the monthly phone card. Then on straight talks website there are instructions for the proxy setting that need put into the phone, then you activate the sim and it should be complete, though it may take a couple days at most to get set up once everything is filled out where their systems are linking to the phone. Mine only took a couple hours, turned it off and back on and everything has worked since. One word of advice though, while the phone is good turn off vibrate to prolong your battery life or you will need to recharge every couple hours if you are on it a lot. The vibrate uses a lot of battery power. Hope it works out for you and this helps. The phone is pretty good.

Not really sure about Verizon, but I use mine on straight talk. Overall, I am very satisfied with this phone. Though your best bet is to go to your Verizon store nearest you and find out if they can do the phone on their network or not. Sorry I can't be of more assistance on this.
