Remember that aluminum salt-shaker Lt. Uhura used to wear in her ear? Well, she's Commander Uhura now, and I'll bet she's moved up to a Bluetooth headset. Wouldn't you?

Small, lightweight, with up to 10 hours of talk-time (and up to 200 hours of standby time), you can wander up to ten meters (33 feet) away from your phone and still maintain contact. That's clear across the bridge!

Many states have enacted laws requiring hands-free devices for cell-phones while driving, and even if your state isn't one of them, isn't it nice not to have to grope around for the phone, then hold it up to your ear? Safer, too. Don't wait another two hundred years; be cool and safe now!

Gimme A Break 8/23/2008 6:49:32 PM

Pros: It was incredibly easy to set-up. Just remember that the manual says press and hold the "answer" button until the light comes and stays on, then pair it with the phone, make sure this is done. After that it surprised me by pairing almost "right now".

Cons: Gotta get used to puttin it on my ear. Once I got accustomed to it, I started to make sure it's on my ear because it feels like it's not there. The only bad or weird thing I noticed was the mini usb cover.

Overall Review: It was delivered and worked just the way I knew it would. Itested everything about it and now, I highly recommend it. Works perfectly.

Motorola H605 Amazing Discreet Headset 5/12/2008 6:40:17 PM

Pros: Very Discreet hiding behind your ear. Blends right in with my silver hoop earings. People don't even see it until the blue light flashes through the silver/chrome like finish at the base of the unit when you receive or make a call. Very light and very discreet compared to any other ones available today.

Cons: Better then most other ones i've tried before, but still not as clear as a wired headset.

Overall Review: I would say that this is one that you must have. 1-10...........8

Nice fit, Huh, what did you say? 10/4/2006 8:59:08 AM

Pros: Fits on the ear very nicely. Great sound quality as long as the person on the other end isn't using a H605.

Cons: Absolutly horrible voice quality. No one that either my wife or I speak to with the headset can hear us.

Overall Review: You'll sound like the teacher from the Charlie brown cartoons.

Good only in a quiet room 7/1/2006 11:21:45 AM

Pros: Great fit, will not fall off. Good receive volume and clarity. Easy to operate

Cons: This headset picks up EVERY background sound. In a quiet car (04 Acura TL) it is simply not usable. Even the voice recognition in the phone can not understand what you are saying. I left myself a voice mail to confirm, and I must say, it's not understandable at all.

Overall Review: If only it had a noise cancelling microphone with a boom, this would be a nice headset then.

Great fit, poor performance 6/23/2006 9:55:57 AM

Pros: very light, nice fit around the ear

Cons: simple did not perform out of the box. made several calls and my recipients could not understand me -- too much static and dropped words.

Overall Review: i'm bummed to return this item because of the nice fit.

This isn't the headset you want, trust me. 6/13/2006 2:31:22 PM

Pros: This could have been a good headset, it has a number of decent features and the price is right. First of all, it really sits nicely on my ear and doesn't feel like it's going to come off. Second, the earpiece is NICE AND LOUD. My last headset, a Moto HS820 was never loud enough and would flop around on my ear threatening to come off if I bent over to pick something up. Third, it has good talk/standby, easy to use buttons, mini-usb charger plug, etc... usual stuff. This is where the good stuff ends.

Cons: I don't want to come down too harshly on this but it's inevitable. This headset sucks. Plain and simple. If you don't have the perfect size and shape ear, it probably won't fit right due to its rigid design. The earpiece rotates for either ear and it moves forward and back for adjustment but the joint is too loose and it usually twists the earpiece around 180 degrees when trying to put it on - and you need to use two hands to position it. As good as the speaker is, the microphone the exact opposite! My voice sounds muffled and distant, entire sentences just don't get transmitted, and it picks up noise everywhere! When I switched back to my HS820, the person on the other end was amazed at how clear the call became - until I told them I just put my 2 year old headset back on. Since this headset doesn't support ringtones in-ear, you'll be thrilled to know that it plays Flight of the Valkyries when it rings and there is no way to change it to a simple "beep beep."

Overall Review: I don't mean to be harsh on the H605 but it is a dud. I've read lots of mixed reviews and people either love it or hate it. Aside from the questionable design and the freakishly large blue activity light, it's not a bad design - If you like something inspired by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The abysmal microphone sensitivity really kills it for me but if you're a loud talker it might work out for you. I personally don't like to speak very loud on the phone and I didn't need to with the HS820.
